HV 1800 Connector

The HV 1800 Series is a box-and-blade high-voltage connector platform developed for higher current vehicle power connections, where round-pin terminals would require significant increases in terminal diameter and material usage. By adopting a flat blade contact geometry, the HV 1800 Series enables higher current transmission within a controlled connector envelope, improving scalability while keeping connector size and mass under control.

Rated at 1500 V DC, the HV 1800 Series supports conductor sizes of 25, 35, 50, and 70 mm², with corresponding current capacities ranging from 175 A up to 308 A. Compared with medium-current solutions, the larger blade contact profile is designed to accommodate increased current demand without compromising electrical stability. This structural approach also contributes to improved manufacturing consistency and cost efficiency at higher current levels.

Straight and right-angle plug versions are available, with 90° and 180° wire exit options, providing flexibility for cable routing in space-constrained installations. The HV 1800 Series is commonly used in high-power electric vehicle applications such as power distribution units (PDU), motor control units (MCU), and motor-side high-voltage connections, where elevated current capacity and compact connector design are both required.
