The Mini Manual Service Disconnect (Mini MSD) is a compact manual disconnect interface for high-voltage battery assemblies (mainly in energy storage platforms), providing a clearly defined separation point for service operations without the need for tools. It is intended for applications where space efficiency and simplified service access are important.
Rated for system voltages up to 1500 V DC, the Mini MSD is available in 250 A and 400 A shunt configurations without integrated fusing. A two-step lever mechanism with an internal High Voltage Interlock Loop (HVIL) ensures controlled disconnection by interrupting the interlock circuit prior to separation of the main conductive path. The compact, finger-safe design is validated for up to 500 mating cycles, supporting repeatable and predictable service handling.
