The Type GB AC Charging Inlet is a vehicle-side AC charging interface developed in accordance with the Chinese national standard GB/T 20234.2. It is designed as the standardized AC charging inlet for electric vehicles in the China market, primarily supporting single-phase & three-phase AC charging under typical residential and public charging scenarios. The interface adopts a defined multi-position layout for power, protective earth, and control signaling, serving as the basic and mandatory AC charging entry point for GB-standard EV platforms.
Our Type GB AC product family currently includes two generations to address different electrical and manufacturing requirements.
The first-generation design uses machined power terminals and supports a wide AC current range from 16 A up to 125 A. In this configuration, signal lines and temperature sensing lines are terminated independently, resulting in separate rear-side wiring for power and auxiliary circuits, as typically seen in conventional GB AC inlet designs.
The second-generation design adopts stamped power terminals, supporting AC current ratings from 16 A up to 32 A, and introduces a modular rear interface that integrates signal and temperature sensing lines into a unified structure. This integrated design significantly simplifies harness processing, improves assembly efficiency, and reduces wiring complexity, making it more suitable for high-volume production and streamlined vehicle integration.
