With the rapid advancement of the automotive industry, various functional components and parts within vehicles are continuously evolving toward greater intelligence, precision, and reliability. This evolution places increasingly stringent demands on the structural design, aesthetic design, and material selection of automotive connectors.
Automotive connectors must comply with the USCAR-20 standard-a performance standard for automotive electrical connector systems-which mandates that the contact interfaces of connectors remain consistently reliable throughout their entire service life. This requirement encompasses the following key factors:
Stable and reliable materials for connector contacts;

Stable contact normal force;

Stable circuit voltage and current;

Temperature requirements maintained within specified ranges, accounting for both ambient temperature and the connector's own temperature rise;

Superior robustness;

A standard of reliability comparable to that of connectors used in high-speed, long-distance computer communication systems, ensuring that automotive connectors can operate dependably even under harsh environmental conditions;

Connector Insertion Force: ≤ 20.5 kg;

Connector Retention Force: ≥ 2.5 kg;

Heat Resistance: -40°C to 120°C.
